If you don’t have a mold, just line a pan with wax paper.
Holiday Baking is also one of my favorite things to do!
Today’s featured Holiday Sweet Treat is Peppermint Bark.
This is SO easy to make, I PROMISE! All you need is a Brittle &
Bark Mold which can be found on Amazon.
What you’ll need:
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
- 2 tsp. vegetable oil
- crushed peppermint candies
How to make it:
1. Place chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and heat on high at 30 second intervals, stirring between intervals until chocolate has melted and is smooth. Add 1 tsp of vegetable oil to the chocolate and stir. Pour into mold.
2. Place white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high at 15 second intervals, stirring between intervals, until chocolate has melted and is smooth. Add 1 tsp vegetable oil to white chocolate and stir. Pour over chocolate in mold.
3. Using the handle of a spoon, swirl chocolates together for a lightly marbled effect.
4. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies & freeze until set (this doesn’t take long at all!)
5. To remove, peel back mold and break or cut along marked lines.
I hope you do, because I have a feeling this peppermint bark
will become a Christmas tradition!
I love this bark for lots of reasons, but my top 3 are:
1. DELICIOUS!
2. GREAT GIFT FOR TEACHERS, FRIENDS & NEIGHBORS!
3. LOVE THE MESSAGE ON THE FLIP SIDE!
The kiddos & g’kiddos will LOVE making this with you.
Check out all of the pics and steps and let me know if you give it a try!
Love y’all,
Connie
