Connie’s Apple Dip

GREAT ADDITION TO

 YOGURT for BREAKFAST!

One of my favorite memories of coming up with this Apple Dip was to find a way for our kiddos to eat more apples.   I know what you’re thinking!   Was it really necessary to fix a sweet dip so your kiddos would eat apples?   No, it wasn’t necessary, but I did it anyway!

It didn’t take long to discover how much better yogurt tasted when I added a scoop of apple dip!   Well, that’s when my Breakfast Bowl was born!   From that time on, I have been doctoring up yogurt with all kinds of deliciousness!    Check out Connie’s Caramel Sauce & Lemon Curd Sauce recipes for more ways to take yogurt to the next level.   ENJOY!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8  oz. cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1-2 tbsps. maple syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Heavy whipping cream to taste

HOW TO MAKE IT:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine all ingredients until well blended using a hand mixer.  If you don’t have a mixer handy, stir till blended. If the cream cheese is soft, this is easy to do!
  2. For a creamier taste, add a small about of heavy whipping cream…maybe a teaspoon.  (This is optional.)
  3. Serve in a pretty glass bowl on a plate surrounded by sliced red & green apples. A bowl of  fresh strawberries (stems on) makes this a delicious treat no matter what the occasion.  This fruit dip is such a crowd pleaser!

Most of all, don’t forget this is an awesome way to calorie up that vanilla yogurt that could use some help in the flavor department, right?

Fold fruit dip into your bowl of yogurt, add some of Connie’s Gluten Free Granola, chopped dark chocolate (your healthy start to the day), pecans, toasted coconut…well… you get the picture, the sky’s the limit.

ENJOY A LITTLE TASTE OF HEAVEN
RIGHT HERE IN AUSTIN, TEXAS!
