Connie’s “Anything Goes” Valentine Clusters

(What’s so fun & easy about this recipe is you don’t have to be exact! ☺  It’s not baked, so add more or less of your favorite cluster ingredients.)

YOUR CLUSTER MIXTURE:

  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup mini M&M’s
  • ½ cup plain Valentine M&M’s
  • ½ cup peanut Valentine M&M’s, chopped

HOW TO MAKE IT:

1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper

2. Melt dark chocolate chips in the microwave.  Be careful to stir frequently & don’t burn!

3. Put peanut M&Ms in a ziplock bag and smash them into pieces using a rolling pin. (See pics below)

4. Combine broken peanut M&Ms and the rest of your cluster mixture ingredients in a bowl.

5. Slowly pour the melted chocolate onto the cluster ingredients and fold gently.

6. Use a mini ice cream scoop to place your clusters on parchment paper.

7. Then, chill for 30 minutes.

HOW TO DRESS ‘EM UP:

You’ll need some Valentine sprinkles, mini M&M’s & some white chocolate for drizzle!

  1. Melt white chocolate chips in the microwave, careful to stir frequently and don’t burn
  2. Dip the top of the cluster into the white chocolate & decorate with Valentine sprinkles
  3. You can also drizzle the melted white chocolate on the clusters going back and forth & criss cross.   Decorate with sprinkles!

Use your imagination with the cluster ingredients!

Other ideas:  peanuts & dried cranberries. The kiddos will love folding in the chocolate.
